About the facility
The CT and MRI departments are located on the premises of Dr T. Boczoń Municipal Hospital No. 2 in Mysłowice. The CT department carries out scans which, due to their exceptionally wide scope, are used across all medical specialities. We carry out CT scans with and without contrast medium: head CT, neck CT, chest CT, abdominal CT, pelvic CT, temporal bone CT, sinus CT, angiography, HRCT, and bone and joint CT. The magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unit is equipped with a 1.5-tesla GE MRI scanner. We carry out MRI scans necessary for the diagnosis of disorders of the nervous, musculoskeletal, digestive and genitourinary systems.
The CT Scanning Centre carries out free scans under a contract with the National Health Fund, commercial scans, as well as scans under contracts with other medical facilities. The MRI Centre collaborates with medical facilities such as Polmed and LUX MED, and we provide services to patients with health insurance through PZU or COMPENSA. In Mysłowice, we carry out scans without anaesthesia for patients aged 7 and over; furthermore, we guarantee prompt appointment times and short waiting times for results.
