Planned changes for cancer patients

The Ministry of Health plans to introduce changes designed to improve access to imaging tests for cancer patients. According to the Ministry of Health’s announcement, these patients will be exempt from the newly introduced limits on, amongst other things, diagnostic imaging.
Full funding will also cover tests carried out on people who no longer hold a DiLO card but who are still receiving oncological care and require further treatment or regular health checks.
The changes relate, amongst other things, to computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans.
The aim of the changes is to improve access to tests and reduce waiting times for diagnostic procedures.
