About the facility
The NZOZ MCD Voxel Wadowice imaging centre is equipped with state-of-the-art General Electric scanners: a Computed Tomography (CT) scanner and a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner. The centre is located in Wadowice at 7A Doktora Józefa Putka Street, next to the Jan Shopping Centre. The entrance is directly from the car park, which is free of charge for our patients. At our centre, we carry out both private scans (MRI, CT) and free scans (CT) under a contract with the National Health Fund.
We have a state-of-the-art 128-slice CT scanner, which ensures high-quality scans. We carry out virtually every type of CT scan available, both with and without contrast medium.
Our strength lies in performing highly specialised cardiac CT scans, which enable a non-invasive assessment of the coronary arteries.
We also have a state-of-the-art 1.5 T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner, which utilises new imaging technology to produce accurate images whilst ensuring exceptional patient comfort and minimising the duration of the scan. We offer patients the opportunity to undergo a high-quality MRI scan, without having to wait in long queues, at an affordable price.

Highly specialised examinations
CT coronary angiography – angiography of the coronary arteries. A procedure involving the injection of contrast medium into the coronary arteries to visualise them using X-rays; it is widely used in the diagnosis of ischaemic heart disease.
Calcium Score – a non-contrast scan used to assess calcifications in the coronary arteries.

Do we carry out tests on children?
Computed Tomography (CT) – yes – from the age of 8,
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) – yes – from the age of 10.
Note:
For the scan to be carried out, the child must be able to lie still and remain motionless for the entire duration of the procedure. The scan is performed without general anaesthesia – this type of anaesthesia may only be administered by an anaesthesia team. The decision to administer a contrast agent is made by the radiologist on a case-by-case basis.

How to get there
The Computed Tomography Clinic in Wadowice is located at 7A Dr Józef Putek Street, next to the Jan Shopping Centre. The entrance is directly off the car park. It is easily accessible from Kraków, Sucha Beskidzka and the ring road towards Bielsko-Biała and Oświęcim.
