About the facility
The NZOZ MCD VOXEL Computed Tomography Unit is located on the premises of the District Hospital. The unit is equipped with a 64-slice GE Optima CT660 CT scanner.
The Optima CT660 CT scanner is a new-generation CT scanner with simplified and optimised operation. The scanner can be used for all types of examinations: the abdomen, chest, cervical (C), thoracic (Th) and lumbar/sacral (L/S) spine, upper and lower limbs (joints), and vascular examinations (CT angiography).
The CT scanner is energy-efficient. It features a wide gantry and a high table load capacity (227 kg), enabling our department to offer a wide range of examinations.
