About the facility

The NZOZ MCD VOXEL Magnetic Resonance Imaging Unit is located on the premises of the District Hospital in Sędziszów Małopolski. At our MRI unit, we carry out a full range of magnetic resonance imaging examinations.

We specialise in the diagnosis of disorders of the nervous system, the musculoskeletal system, and the respiratory, digestive and genitourinary systems. Our MRI unit is equipped with a state-of-the-art 1.5T MRI scanner manufactured by GE.

Our team consists of radiologists, technicians and nurses with many years’ experience, who are constantly improving their skills and working closely with other specialists to ensure the highest quality of diagnostic services.

Do we carry out tests on children?

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – yes – from the age of 10.

Notes:
For the scan to be carried out, the child must be able to lie still and remain motionless for the entire duration of the procedure. The scan is performed without general anaesthesia – this type of anaesthesia may only be administered by an anaesthesia team. Contrast medium is administered to patients aged 18 and over.

What tests do we carry out?

We carry out scans both with and without contrast medium, depending on the radiologist’s decision and the patient’s consent to the administration of contrast medium.

How to get there

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Unit is located on the ground floor – please go first to the Voxel reception desk, situated in the new wing of the District Hospital – Building D. The entrance is next to the main reception desk, or from the side of the A&E department.
