About the facility
The Voxel Medical Diagnostic Centre at 51 Królewska Street in Kraków is a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging centre offering top-quality scans using two GE magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners: the 1.5T OPTIMA and the 3.0T SIGNA PIONEER. Installed in April 2024, the 3.0T MRI scanner enables even more accurate imaging, whilst ensuring the highest level of comfort for patients.

The Voxel Diagnostic Imaging Centre carries out examinations under a contract with the National Health Fund (NFZ) as well as private examinations.

In addition to a full range of diagnostic imaging services covering the nervous system, the musculoskeletal system, and abdominal and pelvic conditions, we also carry out highly specialised examinations:
– MRI of the prostate according to the PI-RADS guidelines
– Prostate MRI in the fusion biopsy protocol
– whole body MR
– Pelvic MRI in the protocol for the detection of endometriosis
– Pelvic MRI as part of the protocol for the assessment of rectal cancer
– MR of perianal fistulas
Do we carry out tests on children?
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) – yes – from the age of 10,
Notes:
For the scan to be carried out, the child must be able to lie still and remain motionless for the entire duration of the procedure. The scan is performed without general anaesthesia – this type of anaesthesia may only be administered by an anaesthesia team. The decision to administer a contrast agent is made by the radiologist on a case-by-case basis.
