About the facility
The Scanix Magnetic Resonance Imaging Centre in Sosnowiec is located in the Sosnowiec Municipal Hospital building at 1 Szpitalna Street. The state-of-the-art 1.5 T MRI scanner enables accurate diagnosis of disorders of the nervous, musculoskeletal and digestive systems. Our doctors regularly attend numerous MRI training courses organised by leading radiology societies in Poland and around the world.

Do we carry out tests on children?
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) – yes – from the age of 10,
Notes:
For the scan to be carried out, the child must be able to lie still and remain motionless for the entire duration of the procedure. The scan is performed without general anaesthesia – this type of anaesthesia may only be administered by an anaesthesia team. The decision to administer a contrast agent is made by the radiologist on a case-by-case basis.
