All research, development and scientific activities carried out in the laboratories have been the result of technical capabilities, based on the availability of modern diagnostic equipment, and staffing conditions, linked to the presence of carefully selected and specialised professionals who, through their expertise and scientific enthusiasm, have succeeded in creating a team that is exceptional within the wider medical community. Another key factor is that most of Voxel’s leading diagnostic laboratories are located in the vicinity of, or within, large clinical and university centres, which facilitates close interdisciplinary collaboration and provides an excellent basis for conducting scientific projects.
Some of Voxel’s clinics specialise in examinations that are methodologically complex and rarely carried out elsewhere, even at university diagnostic centres across the country.
These examinations can only be carried out and properly interpreted thanks to the presence of medical staff who have specialised in specific types of examinations for many years, having acquired their knowledge and experience at leading international research centres. These include, amongst others: CMR (cardiac magnetic resonance imaging), MR prostate imaging, MR enteroclysis, MR fistulography (conventional and experimental), MR mammography, MR functional brain imaging, and CT enteroclysis.
The company also carries out commercial activities in the field of clinical trials for the pharmaceutical sector (the team has over 20 years’ experience in this field), working with companies including: AstraZeneca, Abbott Laboratories, Aventis, Actelion, Amgen, Bayer, Biogen, Boehringer Ingelheim, Bracco, Baxter, Cell Genesis, Cirg, Daiichi Sankyo, Eisai, Icon, Ipsen, Menarini, Novartis, GlaxoSmithKline, Pierre Fabre, Roche, Supernus and Synarc.
In addition, research is carried out on behalf of suppliers and manufacturers of medical equipment, as well as research and development work in partnership with the IT sector and companies specialising in the development of ICT systems (RIS, PACS, WEB and systems dedicated to teleradiology) and artificial intelligence-based applications.
Having conducted over a hundred clinical trials for the pharmaceutical sector and participated in research grants, our staff have access to the latest research findings across various clinical phases, as well as the opportunity for interdisciplinary collaboration and the exchange of knowledge with other research teams.
