GK Voxel is collaborating with leading developers of artificial intelligence (AI) software to bring to market automated analysis of radiological examinations and the detection of anatomical abnormalities using deep learning algorithms. Radiomics is a field in which a radiological image, produced using standardised measurement methods, undergoes advanced analysis, and its characteristics are described and measured. Radiomics forms the basis of personalised medicine and the effective selection of screening programmes and precision treatment.
CAD (computer-aided diagnostic) systems already support radiologists’ work in various areas of analysis. However, each CAD system employs a method based on the clinician’s approach, even though complex computational tasks are carried out in the background. This imposes limitations on such systems. They do not identify patterns in the image; they rely solely on segmentation. Today, advanced techniques in the field of AI algorithms are based on ‘deep learning’, which – particularly in the field of automatic image recognition – is regarded as the best technology, surpassing the support vector machines (SVM) used to date.
Alteris is a distributor of specialist computer equipment and the state-of-the-art diagnostic software Osirix MD and Tomocon Workstation, which are highly regarded by radiologists.

Alteris’ Mobigen Molecular Diagnostic mobile laboratories offer the ideal solution for supporting laboratory services in emergency situations. Each mobile laboratory is designed and constructed to meet or exceed the guidelines set out by the CDC (Centres for Disease Control and Prevention) and the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) for BSL-2 laboratories, as well as the WHO (World Health Organisation) guidelines for BSL-3 laboratories.

Mobigen Molecular Diagnostic laboratories are designed to be powered from an external source and are equipped with an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to maintain operations. Optionally, they can be integrated with a generator using an automatic transfer switch to provide redundancy in the event of power fluctuations or outages, and/or a photovoltaic battery system.

The telehistopathology system is based on the OmniVidi solution, which is a hybrid of a remote histopathology microscope and a scanner for histopathological slides. The device enables remote and instant computerised analysis of tissue from slides located in distant locations, offers full data digitisation and reduces the diagnostic process from weeks to minutes.
